30 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT D.K.

  1. I’m 37 years old, married and have two beautiful daughters that have me wrapped around their little fingers.

  2. I was born in Warwick, but mostly grew up in Mackay, North Queensland and have lived in Brisbane since 2005.

  3. My favourite thing about what I do is the amazing people I meet and the privilege of helping guide them to improved health and well-being.

  4. I’m a DIE-HARD Michael Jordan and Chicago Bulls fan (I still want to be like Mike when I grow up).

  5. I grew up doing Thai boxing and was fortunate enough to win a Qld and Australian title.

  6. I’m a student for life. I love learning, reading books, podcasts… anything self-development that can help me be an all-around better father, husband, friend and coach. Wish I was like this in school.

  7. I love r&b, soul, hip-hop and reggae music.

  8. I love cooking, but I HATE doing dishes.

  9. I’m notorious for buying 3 or 4 of the same shirts, pants or shorts just in different colours.

  10. I’ve got one sibling, an older brother. We used to fight a lot, mostly ending in me crying a lot, or chasing him with some sort of weapon. My poor Mum.

  11. My favourite meal to cook would be Thai green curry.

  12. Me and my mates had a mango fight once or twice, and I’m pretty sure I won every time. Even though it was usually me verse 2 or 3 of them. Maybe because I started it. I don’t know.

  13. I’m not competitive at all. Unless you want to have a mango fight, a race, play basketball, tennis, play Mario Kart, see who can jump higher, longer, play cricket, darts, scategories, go fishing, body surfing, ten pin bowling, hide and seek, air hockey. Bring it on.

  14. I love sport, always have and always will, especially NBA basketball.

  15. I have a Cat named Marley. Probably the coolest cat ever! He plays hide and seek. True story.

  16. I love going to the cinema, even though it does not happen too often these days.

  17. I train at Gym Cartel, where I also get to train my clients. Hands down the best gym in Brisbane, and my favourite place that I've ever worked and trained at throughout the years that I've been playing in the fitness industry.

  18. I love the “I LOVE brownies” brownies. BEST brownies ever. Could possibly be my favourite naughty treat.

  19. My favourite kind of rest and recovery is just relaxing with my family. A trip to the coast, beach or a lazy picnic in the park followed up by a movie.

  20. I love coffee. I always start the day with a double shot flat white. I also enjoy tea, green tea, white tea, herbal tea.

  21. I love a nice whiskey.

  22. I’m a t-shirt and shorts kinda guy.

  23. 23 is my favourite number. Why is it my favourite number? Because it was Michael Jordan’s number (not obsessed at all).

  24. I am terrified of spiders.

  25. My first car was a red 1987 Ford Falcon.

  26. I love older action movies like Beverley Hills Cop, Die Hard, Bad Boys, Lethal Weapon and feel they need to make more movies like these.

  27. If I had to choose a super power it would be teleportation.

  28. I am definitely NOT a daredevil. I only went on my first rollercoaster at the age of 28. I think my 2 year old is more daring than me!

  29. I didn't have an email address until I was 25.

  30. I haven't done a lot of travel but my favourite place that I've been lucky enough to visit is New York City.

A little bit about Nanda - pronounced /nʌndə/:

Nanda is a qualified personal Trainer and has been a Crossfit coach for over 5 years and is passionate about teaching and helping other to move better and lead healthier lives. She is now a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer. Nanda was also one of the Hangstrong gymnastics coaches and LOVES teaching people to be efficient in gymnastics/gymnastics progressions.

This year, Nanda qualified for and competed in the CrossFit Sanctional event - Down Under CrossFit Championships.

Prior to starting Crossfit, Nanda represented Australia in Water Polo.
